The Fugro Middle East main office is located in Dubai (UAE). Project offices are established in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Muscat (Oman), Doha (Qatar), with agents in Kuwait and Yemen. position The Survey Data Processor will be responsible for processing the survey data collected by the survey team. 1. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operations Office-based data processing of field survey observations (GPS, Levelling, etc) Adjustment of survey observations CADD production for survey projects, e.g. plan / profile alignments sheets, etc Quality assurance of survey data. Maintenance of survey databases Maintenance of survey data on computers within the department and archiving of data. Maintain and update all survey software as needed. Financial Responsible for or assisting Survey Supervisor in maintaining expense accounting in the office. Accountable for own project and business related expenditure. Personnel Assess and advise Survey Supervisor on assigned staff performance. Advising, mentoring and training of assigned staff on technical, quality and safety related issues. Administration Check and approve all field reporting and drawings for QC. Is responsible for and / or assist with maintenance of field survey administration and field filing system in accordance with work practices. Ensure time spent on projects is properly accounted for. Specific Additional Duties Actively participate in adherence to and improvement of the company Management System on Quality and HSE related issues. 2. Principal Working Relationships Work with assigned staff to ensure projects are completed to clients specifications. Meet with assigned staff on a regular basis to monitor job progress. Meet with Survey Supervisor for project debriefs. Meet with Survey Manager for assigned Staff Development Interviews and if applicable personal Performance Appraisal discussion. Meet with HSE/QA/HR Manager for QA discussions, feedback and training. position requirements To qualify for the role, the succesful candidate should have: Degree (or equivalent) in Land Survey or Topographical Science related field of study. Experience in data processing techniques, e.g. Leica LGO, CADD packages (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3d and MicroStation) and familiarity with routines to transform between the two data sets. Experience in data processing for land and topographical surveys. Minimum 5 years related land surveying experience. Oil and gas experience preferred. Competent with survey processing and CAD software. Very good English and Arabic skills. what we offer Salary will commensurate with experience.
