The Fugro Middle East main office is located in Dubai (UAE). Project offices are established in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Muscat (Oman), Doha (Qatar), with
agents in Kuwait and Yemen. position The Senior Land Surveyor performs all office and field related survey assignments as defined by the Project or Survey Manager. The role in projects may also be defined as Survey Supervisor. The position commands a responsibility and necessity to set example. Initiative is a pre requisite part in the role of all duties. 1. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operations Organize own work and delegate tasks to assigned staff. Assist and directly support the Project or Survey Manager with the execution of given work and tasks. Execute given work ensuring it is within project targets and in accordance with specifications, procedures and work practices. Supervision and quality control of field reporting, processing of data, computations and survey reports. Liaise directly with client on relevant technical issues and on contractual / operational issues. Responsible for actively ensuring QC procedures are followed by assigned staff. Responsible for actively ensuring HSE procedures are followed by assigned staff. Act as a single point of contact between the Dubai and Basra office. Manage and supervise all surveying equipment in the office. Financial Responsible for or assisting Project or Survey Manager in maintaining expense accounting in the field. Accountable for own project and business related expenditure. Personnel Assess and advise Survey Manager on assigned staff performance. Advising, mentoring and training of assigned staff on technical, quality and safety related issues. Administration Check and approve all field administrative reporting. Is responsible for and / or assist with maintenance of field survey administration and field filing system in accordance with work practices. Ensure time spent on projects is properly accounted for. Is responsible for and / or assist with field related expenditure reporting. Specific Additional Duties Actively participate in adherence to and improvement of the company Management System on Quality and HSE related issues. 2. Principal Working Relationships Work with assigned staff to ensure projects are completed to clients specifications. Mentor and train assigned assistant for professional development within company Meet with assigned staff on a regular basis to monitor job progress. Meet with Project Manager for project debrief. Meet with Survey Manager for project debriefs. Meet with Survey Manager for assigned Staff Development Interviews and if applicable personal Performance Appraisal discussion. Meet with HSE/QA/HR Manager for QA discussions, feedback and training. position requirements To qualify for the role, the successful candidate should have: Bachelor or Diploma in Land Survey or related field Minimum 5 years related to Land surveying experience Oil and gas experience preferred Competent with survey processing and CAD software Very good English and Arabic skills. what we offer Salary will commensurate with experience.
