Cluster IT Supervisor

07.01.2013 • Posted in General Jobs Responsible for ensuring all UASC HQ IT policies and standards are implemented and adhered to in the cluster. Responsible for the provision and maintenance of UASC’s IT and Communications infrastructure within the cluster. Oversee the provision of IT infrastructure throughout the cluster to meet the business needs and in accordance with standards/guidelines from IT HQ; Ensure adequate maintenance and support arrangements are in place, and that service level standards for system availability etc. are set in accordance with the requirements of the business, and are consistently achieved. Work with the global service desk to ensure business services are not disrupted. Assist UASC Global Help Desk to support users of UASC’s global systems within the cluster where necessary. Act as the local point of contact for UASC HQ IT with respect to implementation of application changes or new modules. Prepare an Annual Budget of IT capital and operating expenditure for the cluster, for approval by the Cluster Manager and by IT HQ. Monitor actual expenditure against budget, and report monthly and/or as required on significant variances Negotiate and manage all contracts with IT suppliers in the cluster area, in compliance with company procedures Ensure that procedures are followed to meet the UASC Information Security Policies and thus protect the company’s data and systems, and to ensure continuity of service for the business users. Issues to be covered should include back-up procedures, office disaster recovery, data protection, etc. to meet both company and regulatory requirements.
