Select Auto is a part of Al Futtaim Automotive Group. This company will cater to the regional requirements of NATO Forces and their Prime Contractors for supply of heavy equipment ,vehicles and their maintenance services. Select will be the single point of contact for customers of this profile and will operate as an internal customer for the other automotive group companies
Al Futtaim is looking for a Financial Analyst for its Select Auto business to provide analytical/commercial/information support to the Financial Controller and who contributes to performance review/operational decision making and improvement plans in meeting the company Profitability & financial objectives.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
  • Variation analysis on monthly project calculation
  • (Actual v Forecast and Budget down to Net Profit)
  • Initiate booking and reporting of order intake, sales and standard margin for weekly reporting requirements
  • Controlling of receivables incl. dunning after coordination with Business Unit Finance Manager (BUFM)
  • Provide pricing inputs for bids / quotes based on vendor costs and appropriate margins
  • Verification of export regulations and requirements including import license, bureau veritas, re-export
  • Complete project execution guideline together with (Al Futtaim Shared Services (AFSS)
  • Ensure that there is adequate insurance cover for the people and assets on the ground.  Prepare monthly reports as required by the insurance company.
  • Review and approve purchase orders in SAP (with Finance Manager Afghanistan) based on Project Target
  • Agreement (PTA) or Application for Expenditure (AFE)
  • Credit management activity, including completion of basic project data such as client name, address, etc. in SAP, as provided by Finance Manager Afghanistan or part of Project Execution Guideline.
  • Management of overdue receivables and related actions (e. g. contact customer, escalation, individual country risk)
  • Monitor warranty cost, non-conformance cost and penalties and ensure reimbursement.
  • Update and reporting of foreign currency cash flow of hedged contracts/orders
  • On an ongoing basis, analyse supplier SLA’s and invoice for any penalties as per contract, coordinating with Supply Chain on quarterly supplier performance reviews.
  • Support AFSS for booking of all invoices/ turnover including equipment, services, licenses, interest, etc. according to accounting method (AFG policies)
  • Support the claim management process for commercial evaluation based on customer contract, and quantification of potential claims towards all internal and external parties
  • Monitor and allocate incoming supplier payments through AFSS
  • Monitor and handle SAP reports
  • Ongoing project calculation in SAP
  • Entering and updating forecast data (values) into system monthly (with support from Regional Operations Manager, Finance Manager Afghanistan and Project Manager (PM))
  • Monthly / quarterly closing: value correction on costs (“stat. corrections”, “margin corrections”, “cost provisions”, “margin provisions”)
  • Prepare financial data as required for scheduled and unscheduled Select Auto meetings
  • Controlling, reporting & forecasting of financial figures (order intake, turnover margin and all costs) on monthly or weekly basis as determined by business need.
  • Prepare and analyse cash flows on monthly or weekly basis as determined by business need.
  • Determine procedure for project-specific ongoing project calculation/ controlling (based on reporting process and tool)
  • Provide input as required for logistic concept including (but not restricted to) incoterms, payment terms, commercial issues, logistics terms and conditions, etc., to Finance Manager Afghanistan
  • Clarification of project sourcing involving Select Auto and Automotive stakeholders
  • Generation of order intake calculation (based on last offer calculation)
